Melbourne Set to Host Chinese Teacher Training Centre

On September the 22nd, 2008, Education Minister of the Government of Victoria, Australia, Bronwyn Pike led a group in a visit to the Confucius Institute head office (National Han Ban), and signed the “Letter of Intent Concerning the Establishment of Chinese Teacher Training Centre in Victoria” with the Director of the National Hanban Madame Xu Lin.

According to the Letter of Intent, National Hanban will cooperate with the Victorian Government in the establishment of Chinese Teacher Training Centre in Victoria, organization of trainings for Chinese teachers, compilation of new text books and researches on methods of teaching, thereby promoting the healthy and sustained development of Chinese language in Victoria. 

 

Ma Jianfei, Vice Director of National Hanban, and other associated personnel were also present at the signing of the Letter of Intent.
