2020 Practical Business A-Z Workshop Series (澳中ÀoZhōng商务讲座)    

Practical Business A-Z is a new series of workshops designed to assist participants to prepare for trips to China, and understand how to use Chinese social media and apps to maximize their efficiency when working, studying, travelling in China and communicating with Chinese counterparts. Whether for work or leisure, these 2-hour, hands-on workshops will help contribute to better engagement and communication between Australian (澳Ào) and Chinese (中Zhōng) people.

 

Workshops will be conducted in face-to-face and online modes.

Group registrations and in-house tailored workshops and training are also available.

 

WeChat Basic

WeChat is a social media app with more than a billion monthly users. The app can be used to communicate through messaging, voice recording, and video chat, and offers a variety of in-app apps that can add convenience to one’s life. This workshop will provide insght into Wechat's basic features.

WeChat Advanced

This workshop is designed to assist participants with a business background to take advantage of WeChat when communicating and maintaining ‘guanxi’ with Chinese co-workers, clients, stakeholders and business partners.

12 – 2pm, Tuesday 25th February (Online via Zoom)

 

Pre-departure to China

Travelling to China can often be quite daunting with a new language, culture and system. This workshop will help you prepare for your trip and manage frequently encountered obstacles faced in China more efficiently through a language course, touching on Chinese cultural etiquette and communication.

Getting Around in China

This workshop is designed to assist participants in adapting to the environment in China and making the most of their in-country experience through exploring China’s different online platforms and forms of public transport.

12 – 2pm, Tuesday 24th March (Online via Zoom)

Market Research Focus Groups

Confucius Institute focus groups are facilitated in Chinese, with participants drawn from migrant, international student, and frequent traveller communities. Participants are encouraged to give honest feedback on your company's offering.
