Please join the Confucius Institute at the University of Melbourne and the Australia China Young Professionals Initiative (ACYPI) on October 3rd for an evening where Teng Jimeng will explore Chinese cinema from 1946 to today. Teng Jimeng is an associate professor at Beijing Foreign Language University and was the personal assistant and translator to the Palm d’Or winning director Chen Kaige during the shooting of Farewell My Concubine. Currently, Teng Jimeng, a returned Fulbright research scholar (CRS) based at Boston College, is teaching American Studies and Chinese Cinema at BFSU and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) in Beijing.
